20 months is normally a long time to maintain the same activity with rock-solid reliability and unparalleled accuracy. Even the sun itself dims down every 12 months for the winter, and Xenon bulbs start losing their power even sooner.

Not our SINUS-220 solar simulator. It has been in constant operation at Q CELLS since July of 2013. The spectrum it emits at Hanwha Q CELLS, one of the world’s largest photovoltaic producers, is exactly the same today as it was on day one. And not a single LED has required replacement during that time. Will our SINUS-220 keep going for another 634 years? We’ll never know, but it doesn’t hurt to have ambitious goals…
