It’s again EU-PVSEC time, c’est formidable, because we love Paris and it’s a great opportunity for us to present our opinion on the current status of the international code IEC 60904-9. It defines how to measure the efficiency of solar cells, worldwide. We think it needs a thorough overhaul so that it remains the industry standard. Progress in solid-state lighting technology allows far more accurate and precise efficiency measurements than what is regarded as sufficient by this code (it’s about this class AAA or triple A thing). And this progress powered by LEDs helps to avoid a profit loss of more than 300,000 EUR per year per solar cell production line. Come and listen to our talk in Session 4DO.1 on Thursday. We should be on stage at around 2 pm.
