LED’S GIVE YOU COMPLETE CONTROL

The SINUS-220/270/300:
The new state of the art.

When the SINUS-220 was launched, it quickly revolutionized the solar simulation market. Now, over 400 deployed units provide advanced, reliable, and accurate simulations for around 30% of the world’s solar cell production.

The LED technology in the SINUS-300 enables near-perfect solar cell efficiency measurement. Xenon lamps used to be the standard light source for measuring solar cell performance. But they suffer from spectral shifts and spikes, deviating from standards by as much as 25%. The SINUS-300, however, exhibit a maximum spectral variance of only 5%.

The tuned 20-color, LED-based light source makes this exceptional accuracy possible.

THE SINUS-300

Consistent spectrum across space and time

LEDs of different colors can combine to mimic the sun’s spectrum with great accuracy. Xenon-based simulators suffer from spectral shifts and frequently deviate from standards by as much as 25%.

The 20 different colors of LED in the SINUS-300 light engine ensure a flawless simulation of the sun that stands the test of time.

Optical innovation to achieve uniform spectrum

A proprietary lens system unique to WAVELABS spreads all the wavelengths in the spectrum evenly across the illuminated area. An integrated spectrometer and photodiode sample the light in one-millisecond intervals. High-performance control algorithms provide continual self-correction for spectral stability and accuracy that remains stable over time.

Flexible exposure times with consistent results

Unlike conventional xenon solar simulators, the SINUS-300 allows you to set exposure times to whatever length you require. Anything from just a few milliseconds up to continuous illumination is possible. What’s more, the SINUS-300 is particularly well-suited for customized measurements. Even at lower light intensities, the spectrum remains unchanged.

Innovation that extends beyond the light engine

Just as the SINUS-300 light engine raises the bar, the rest of the system also sets new standards in photovoltaic testing. Electronic loads and calibrated high-end components let engineers and researchers choose any number of voltages and specify measurement points as required. The result? IV curve measurements that are accurate and flexible.

Integration with optional infrared and electroluminescence cameras

For improved process analysis, the SINUS-300 can optionally provide full integration with infrared and electroluminescence cameras mounted inside the device housing. The IR and EL units are optimized for high-speed measurements and quality analysis on solar cell production lines. Intelligent infrared image analysis reliably detects hotspots.

Adapts to your company’s processes

The SINUS-300 was designed from the ground up to integrate perfectly into any conceivable production line — regardless of whether the line is operational or in the planning stage. That’s why we have chosen very compact dimensions for the light engine. The control unit and power supply are housed in practical 19-inch rackmount cases.
