LED’S CREATE A BETTER FUTURE
Our team, your mission
WAVELABS Solar Metrology Systems GmbH was founded in October 2011. Torsten Brammer, Jörn Suthues, and Thankmar Wagner put together an experienced team that has continued to grow in number and expertise.
From garage to global player in a flash
In less than a decade, WAVELABS has grown to become one of the most established names in solar metrology. Around 30% of all solar cell simulation is now accomplished using a WAVELABS device.
It all started with the SINUS-220, an innovative LED flasher for solar cells. Soon, the product portfolio expanded to include several more solar simulators for use in both R&D and mass production.
Many major PV manufacturers now trust their production and research to WAVELABS flashers. So do the world’s most influential photovoltaic research, testing, and educational institutions:
A team united by common values
The success of WAVELABS has always depended upon our team of specialists. Collaboration is key to the way we work. Above all, WAVELABS is committed to leaving the world and our communities in better shape than we found them.
These values have resulted in deep connections with customers and industry experts along the way. Add an openness to innovation, and you have the heart of the WAVELABS story.
Leading through innovation
WAVELABS is managed by an executive team with extensive experience in the technology sector. Team members have worked with a number of renowned organizations including Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems, Research Centre Jülich and Q-Cells SE.
They are excited about the future, and the role WAVELABS will play in crafting that future.

LED’S GO ORANGE
Color theory plays an important role in modern corporate and product design. WAVELABS has chosen orange. But why?
Orange achieves a mixture of light and warmth by combining the primary colors red and yellow. The analogous color scheme orange-red-yellow is the color palette of energy, with orange most closely resembling the color of fire. Of all the colors, orange is the most attention-grabbing.
That’s why orange is the color of alerts, signaling optimism, joy, inspiration, creativity and communication. It generates associations of warmth, protection, fun, and youthfulness.
Even Goethe appreciated the special powers of the color of orange. He recommended parents to paint the walls of their children’s rooms orange because the color fosters the development of artistic, intellectual, and creative individuals. And of course orange is a perfect fit for a company in the solar industry — the light of sunrise and sunset is orange, just like WAVELABS.
LED’S GO ORANGE from dawn till dusk.
